Who: Anyone who posts in this thread saying they're coming, with a few exceptions. Mainly if I don't know you, someone I DO know has to have referred you.
What: LAN Party 2007 V 1.0
When: 1/6/07, 2:00 PM till when I make you all go home.
Where: My house. If you don't know the way, PM me for directions.
What to Bring: The typicals...computer, mouse, monitor, headphones, game discs, $5-$8 for food. IMPORTANT: This can't be stressed enough, bring a mousepad. Our tables are glossy, bumpy plastic, and optical mice WILL NOT WORK without a pad.
Optional Items to Bring: office chair (we're slowly growing our chair number (4 party chairs + 4 kitchen + mine = 9), but I'm expecting a greater turnout for this event, so I would say call dibs on a chair (except mine) or bring your own), network switches (we should have this covered, but it never hurts to have fail overs).
What will be Provided: snack foods and beverages (meaning soda, nobody likes an angry drunk gamer).
Games to Play: Quake 3 Arena, Counterstrike, Serious Sam, BF1942 and mods (thought we might try Galactic Conquest, a Star Wars mod), and Battlefield 2. If you haven't done so, you'll want to pick up BF2. Any suggestions for mods or demos to try? As I've talked about before, I'd like to have us try at least 1 mod and/or demo. After the party, members will be able to vote whether to continue playing the mod, and/or whether or not to include the full version of what ever demo we played.
Games/Mods to Try: Command and Conquer: Renegade (demo). I'd also like to show you Half Life 2 Deathmatch...because it doesn't get much more fun than using the gravity gun to launch toilets at each other.
