What: LAN party 2010 V. 1.0
When: 7/31/10 12 noon to ???.
Where: Adam’s house: 17234 N. Paradise Park Dr., Phoenix 85032. Google it.
What to Bring: The typicals...computer, mouse, monitor, headphones, game discs, $5-7 for food (PLEASE try to bring exact change). IMPORTANT: This can't be stressed enough, bring a mousepad. Our tables are primarily composed of glossy, bumpy plastic, and optical mice WILL NOT WORK without a pad.
Optional Items to Bring: office chair (I have 5 folding chairs and a few kitchen chairs) network switches (we should have this covered, but it never hurts to have fail overs), your own beverage, snacks.
What will be Provided: Mountain Dew (assorted flavors)

NOTE: Adam has a large, excitable dog named Dexter.   He’s not a chewer, but you have been warned.

Why I can’t post long messages, I don’t know, but I think I may see if I can some how get a PHPBB on here.  Anyway, here’s the game list:

 

Starcraft 2 (12-3 PM)

TF2 (3-5 PM)

Quake 1 (5-6 PM)

L4D 1 and/or 2 (6 PM to 8 PM)

HL2 (including CS, DM, etc.) or BF2 (8-10 PM)

It's getting closer, StarCraft 2 is out, and I'm excited.

As it stands, I put the attendance count at 8 (but presently, only 6 L4D capable):

Unfortunately, I work until 4:00 that day, go home pick up gear hopefully get up there and online by 6:00 but if that works for everyone, I would love to come! Don't/won't have SC2 or L4D2, but everything else on the list looks good.  Should be fun.  Thanks Adam for the site!

Better late than never!  Looking forward to it.  We'll probably just stick to L4D1 since that's what most people have.  We'll wait until there's like a 75% off sale before we expect everyone to have the second one.
